Of course, eBay definitely is a great option when it comes to finding a place to sell your used items, as you can get a lot of attention for your stuff – especially once you establish a good seller rating. Plus, the auction option makes eBay really nice, as it allows others to set the price for you! But before you decide to jump straight to eBay, make sure you get to know your other online options first.

Craigslist is another great place online from which you can sell your items, as it offers the advantage of allowing you to deal directly with local people. Even though Craigslist is unable to give you the sort of broad reach you can get with eBay, this is perfect if you are selling items that are difficult to ship. By dealing with people on Craigslist, you can have people come directly to you, where they can hand you cash and pick up the purchase in person.

Another place that is perfect for selling your used items – although many people overlook this function of the site – is Amazon! You can list just about any used item on Amazon in just about any category, and it will automatically have exposure to hordes of shoppers!

And while there are all these great places online for selling your used items, this does not mean that these should automatically keep you from going with one of the old standbys. If you have an antique that you do not feel will fetch a big price on eBay, or that will be too cumbersome to ship, visit your local antique store and sell it to them. And as for all those little items that have begun to collect dust in your house, remember that you can still get rid of a bunch of them at once by holding a garage sale!
